Mariola Misiorowska Ph. D. is an experienced interdisciplinary researcher and consultant, committed to succeed immigrants’ professional integration and to improving intercultural and ethnic relations in the workplace. She gained her experience working as a career advisor with newly landed immigrants to Canada providing high quality services, and educational and training tools to individuals and organizations. Activities such as diagnosing issues, developing job searching materials and strategies, preparing candidates for job interviews and training them how better integrate Canadian workplace give her the opportunity to apply her practical experience and theoretical knowledge to enhance immigrants’ skills and to ensure their long-term professional integration in Canada.
She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Human Sciences from University of Montreal, Canada with a focus on socio-professional trajectories of new immigrants who are qualified workers and on their successful socio-professional integration. Her professional and scientific publications with her recommendations and training material serve public administrators, employers, community and business development associations to improve services offered to immigrants and minority members. She developed training modules for job searchers as well as for employers dealing on a regular basis with individuals belonging to ethnocultural groups. She is the author of many publications regarding contemporary immigration issues and speaker at several national and international conferences.
Her focus is on individuals’ development capabilities, an approach aiming empowerment of immigrants in order to make them knowledgeable, independent, capable of effective networking and in general, successful in their integration to Canada.
